Wrexham Seminar 2004 |
On the 29th February 2004 a seminar was held in Wrexham with John Anderson and Steve Greenfield instructing. The theme of the seminar was Taijutsu Kihon and the Kihon of Jinen Ryu Biken.
The day began with a warmup, following this John and Steve got straight in to teaching the kihon. The Kihon are strongly emphasised by Manaka Sensei, they are the foundation of your Taijutsu , if the foundation is not solid then neither will be the taijutsu. The only way to progress with the Kihon is to practice , practice and practice again. They must become a natural part of you. Also there is some misconception that because they are called 'Kihon' ( 'basics' or more 'decriptively 'fundamentals' or 'foundation' that they are just for beginners. However this is not true , the Kihon are something you take with you throughout your years of study and continue to be something to work on and indeed something that can provide continued insight and understanding in Taijutsu. |
